| WHAT: | A Special Meeting of the Board of Regents has been called by Board of Regents Chair J. Timothy Shelnut and the board's Executive Committee.
The regents will convene in Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. |

| WHY: | The board members will conclude their deliberations regarding the appointment of an interim chancellor to fill the post being vacated by out-going current USG Chancellor Thomas C. Meredith, who has announced that he has accepted a new post in Mississippi.
Shelnut is expected to announce the board's choice for interim chancellor at the conclusion of the Executive Session. |
